Engllish Teacher Ibadan

TAAS Group of School is a school made up of Nursery, Primary and Secondary school. The school's academic programme is divided into two sections: Quran and Arabic section which is handled by specific teachers and the western Educational section handle by different teachers.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Engllish Teacher (Primary)

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language components: reading, comprehension, grammar, spelling, writing, and speaking.
• Apply phonics-based and interactive learning strategies to strengthen foundational literacy.
• Use stories, poems, and creative activities to enhance understanding and enjoyment of English.
• Assess pupils’ progress and provide timely feedback.
• Integrate Islamic morals and etiquettes (adab) into lessons and classroom routines.
• Encourage critical thinking, neat handwriting, and good communication habits.
• Prepare pupils for promotional and external examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments and attendance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching quality and share best practices.
• Participate in school events, assemblies, and teacher training sessions.

Qualifications & Skills

• NCE/B.Ed. in English, Primary Education, or related discipline.
• 2–3 years of primary teaching experience.
• Familiarity with British phonics programs (e.g., Jolly Phonics) and creative teaching methods.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Patient, caring, and committed to holistic child development.
