Job Title: HSE Manager (Mining Sector)

Location: Enugu
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with legal and industry standards.
Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Conduct HSE training and awareness programs for all staff.
Maintain accurate records and liaise with regulatory authorities as required.
Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in HSE management within the mining or extractive industry.
Sound knowledge of mining safety standards, environmental compliance, and risk management.
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001 will be an advantage.
