Job Purpose
The Account Officer will manage financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support financial reporting in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
The role involves overseeing accounts payable/receivable, handling inventory accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable/receivable, process invoices, and reconcile balances.
Monitor and account for inventory levels, ensuring accurate valuation and cost control.
Track daily and monthly sales performance and assist in cash flow management.
Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses against forecasts.
Prepare financial statementsand reports, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Ensure tax complianceand assist with audits.
Liaise with vendors and customers on financial issues.
Requirements
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an FMCG Company.
Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or any ERP system used in FMCG.
Advanced Excel skills and ability to handle large datasets.
Familiarity with the high transaction volume and complexity of the FMCG industry.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage time efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN) or in-progress certification.
