We require the services of an Accountant who will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function and implement the strategy and direction for the function as provided by the Directors of the Organization. The role shall identify and implement systems, polices and processes for the Finance function which will improve financial monitoring, accountability and growth across the Organization.
Skills and experience required:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Auditing or Finance
Fully qualified accountant (ICAN, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
At least 5 years relevant working in Accounting or Auditing field;
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications (specially in using Excel).
A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles as well as working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations. 
Strong analytical skills and good business sense
High degree of integrity and professionalism

The preferred candidate must be;

Proactive, independent and able to work under pressure.
Possess good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Duties
The duties of the Account Manager include:

Preparation of monthly/quarterly financial and management reporting.
Preparation of annual accounts for audit and annual statutory reporting
Monitoring the day-to-day financial operations such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
Complete audited account statements and file tax returns and other statutory compliance requirements.
Provide financial and analytical support to the Directors of Finance.
Develop, implement and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the Finance function.
Oversee the recruitment, supervision and direction of program volunteers.
Perform adhoc analysis pro-actively or as directed, to provide performance insights that aid growth and focus appropriate resource allocation.
Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of communications and resolution of issues.
Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action.
Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
The preferred candidate must be able to analyse and perform appropriate hedging and funding activities, oversee cash and liquidity management through cash flow planning and forecasting and manage treasury operations and controls.
Budgeting and forecasting.
Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the board.
Managing an end-to-end audit process of current systems – while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors.
Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.
Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.
Maintaining the financial health of the organization and advising on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
Monitoring financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and capitalizing on opportunities will be integral parts of your responsibilities.
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities and develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.
Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
