Duties

The ideal candidate will (including but not limited to):


Create audit plans and programs based on risk evaluations and objectives.
Perform financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with audit standards.
Evaluate the efficacy of internal controls, procedures, and risk management systems.
Recognize control weaknesses and suggest improvements.
Review accounting records, financial statements, and other pertinent data for accuracy and compliance.
Authenticate financial documentation and detect inconsistencies or irregularities.
Oversee adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Compose detailed audit reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendations.
Present results to management and stakeholders with clear, actionable insights.
Identify financial and operational risks and assess the adequacy of controls in place to mitigate them.
Assist in the development of risk-based audit plans.
Handle sensitive data with discretion and uphold the highest standards of professional integrity.
Adhere to ethical auditing practices and organizational code of conduct.
Coordinate and provide assistance during external audits, including supplying documentation and explanations.
Ensure readiness and compliance for year-end audits and reviews.


Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of auditing experience (construction) or a similar role is advantageous.
Familiarity with risk-based audit methodologies and internal control frameworks.
Experience with financial statement audits, compliance reviews, and process evaluations.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
