Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Repair Workshop Supervisor to oversee and manage the daily operations of our automotive repair workshop. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in automotive mechanics, excellent organizational skills, and exceptional customer service abilities. The Workshop Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring and supervising all activities within the workshop, ensuring that customer vehicles are efficiently and accurately inspected, repaired, and returned.
Key Responsibilities:
Workshop Management:
Supervise daily operations in the automotive repair workshop.
Coordinate and schedule repairs and inspections to ensure timely completion.
Monitor workflow and productivity to maximize efficiency.
Customer Service:
Greet and attend to customers, providing detailed information on the status of their vehicle repairs.
Explain repair processes and expected timelines to customers.
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Vehicle Inspection and Repair Oversight:
Oversee the inspection and diagnostic processes for incoming vehicles.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are performed to the highest standards.
Verify that all safety protocols and industry regulations are adhered to.
Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate the workshop team, including mechanics, technicians, and support staff.
Provide training and guidance to staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as necessary.
Quality Control:
Perform quality checks on completed repairs to ensure customer satisfaction.
Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures.
Manage parts inventory and order supplies as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Prepare and submit regular reports on workshop performance and productivity.
Ensure all documentation is compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive repair is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an automotive repair environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools and software.
Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
