Role Summary:
As a Biomedical Engineer you will be responsible for designing, testing, installing, and maintaining medical equipment and devices to ensure optimal performance and safety in patient care settings.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test medical devices and equipment, including diagnostic imaging systems, patient monitors, and therapeutic devices, to meet clinical and technical specifications.
Install, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulatory standards.
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, diagnose technical problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maintain patient safety.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, physicians, nurses, and other stakeholders to assess equipment needs, recommend new technologies, and provide technical support and training.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and protocols for medical equipment to extend lifespan, optimize performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements in biomedical engineering and healthcare technology.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
Previous experience working in biomedical engineering or healthcare technology preferred.
Strong technical skills and knowledge of medical equipment and instrumentation.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
