Job Description


We are seeking a compassionate, responsible, and experienced Boarding House Parent/House Master to join our team at Khadob Schools.
This role is pivotal in creating a nurturing, secure, and engaging environment for our boarding students.
The Boarding House Parent/House Master will oversee the welfare, safety, and development of students residing in the school hostel.
They will manage daily operations, ensure the smooth running of hostel activities, and provide a safe, home-like atmosphere where students thrive emotionally, academically, and socially.


Key Responsibilities


Student Welfare: Ensure the emotional, social, and physical wellbeing of all students under your care, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Safety and Child Protection: Implement and maintain rigorous safety measures and child protection protocols in accordance with school policies.
Daily Operations: Oversee the smooth running of all hostel activities, including meal times, curfews, study hours, and recreational events.
Pastoral Support: Provide pastoral care, acting as a mentor and confidant to students. Address any personal or academic concerns they may face.
Supervision: Monitor and guide the students’ behavior, promoting discipline, respect, and adherence to hostel rules.
Conflict Resolution: Mediate disputes among students, ensuring resolutions align with school policies.
Health and Safety: Respond promptly to medical emergencies, ensuring the wellbeing of students at all times.
Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and school leadership regarding students' welfare and development.
Reporting: Keep detailed records of incidents, progress, and any concerns related to student welfare.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff to organize and supervise activities, trips, and programs for the boarders.


Requirements

Educational Qualifications and Experience:


A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Training or certification in child protection and safeguarding (mandatory).
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children or in a boarding school setting.
Experience managing hostel operations or pastoral care is an added advantage.
Basic understanding of adolescent behavior and development.
