As a Boiler Maintenance Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of boiler operations and maintenance within our facility. Your role is critical in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our boiler systems, which are essential for our daily operations. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, set maintenance schedules, implement safety protocols, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Boiler Maintenance Oversight:
Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all boilers, including preventive maintenance schedules, routine inspections, and repairs.
Monitor boiler operations to identify efficiency improvements and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance tasks and inspections.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of boiler maintenance technicians, providing guidance and training as needed.
Assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety standards and procedures related to boiler operations and maintenance.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Emergency Response:
Develop and implement emergency response plans for boiler-related incidents.
Respond promptly to boiler emergencies, assess situations, and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance.
Prepare reports for management detailing maintenance activities, equipment status, and compliance issues.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in place of formal education.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in boiler operations and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Certifications: Boiler Operator License or equivalent certification required. Additional certifications in boiler maintenance, safety, or management preferred.
