Job description:
The role of Business Development Manager in Classic Riders Transport and Logistics Company Limited requires a professional with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity in organizations with multi sector business engagements with particular focus on the transport and logistics sector . The candidate must have spearheaded the development and implementation of innovative products and unique services which contributed to the overall business growth, revenue generation and increase in market share;.
The ideal candidate must posses a first degree and an MBA or masters in any social sciences is an added advantage. His/her responsibilities will include among others the following:
Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth
Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives
Researching prospective accounts in target markets.
Pursuing leads in different existing and new market segments of our businesses including passenger transport, haulage, courier, last mile delivery and cargo and moving them through the sales cycle.
Identifying, securing and operationalizing suitable locations for booking offices, loading terminals and cargo hubs across the country.
Ability to multi task and work extra hours is a pre-requisite.
Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients.
Developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies to ensure optimal utilization of all our operational assets at a profit.
Setting goals for the business development team and developing strategies to meet those goals
Designing the enterprise partnership marketing and attraction strategy and implementing it.
Training business development staff
Attending conferences and industry events
