Qualifications
- Previous working experience as a Loan Officer for 5+ years
- BSC degree in finance, economics, or a similar relevant field
- Hands-on experience with computers and banking software
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer orientation and sales competencies.
- Experience with mortgage loan software programs
- Communication skills
- Supervision skills to direct junior staff
- Sales skills to sell loan-processing services to customers
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local levels of loan processing laws and regulations and ability to communicate these laws in a non-technical and conversational manner to others.
Job role
The primary focus of this role is to maximize revenue for MKOBO by proactively building a portfolio of quality risk assets and liabilities, and actively promoting and marketing MKOBO’s products and services while also ensuring the products are appropriately positioned and priced to be competitive.
- Assess customer needs, explore all options, and introduce different types of loans
- Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels, and cross-sell products and services to accomplish quotas
- Build long-term, trusting relationships with customers.
- Ensure customer satisfaction at the highest possible level.
- Οperate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines
- Maintain a positive working relationship with internal departments and external contacts
- Verifies the information provided on applications to obtain more information if missing data or mistakes are present
- Communicate with customers to help them choose the best mortgage loan they can afford
- Collects data from customers, such as their assets, salaries, debts, and employment status
- Review file documentation for missing or erroneous information
- Verifies information about applicant history with credit bureaus and other agencies so the lender can approve or deny the loan
- Remains aware of loan application deadlines and informs customers about them
- Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions
- Maintain an active knowledge base of all of the organization’s loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required of each applicant
- To conduct direct marketing of the Company’s products and services to help maximize revenue.
- Prompt response to customer inquiries on products or existing account queries and effect satisfactory outcomes.
- Contribute to team effectiveness through participation and cooperation.
- Maintain and develop new customers account, and liaise with back office staff in processing new clients.
- Compile necessary documentation from customers to be submitted for review and approval.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- To organize activities relating to sales and marketing promotions that will help increase awareness and generate new business.
