The Company is seeking to hire a highly competent and well-respected Chief Financial Officer to work closely with the CEO and Board of Directors. The purpose of the role is to be a key member of the executive team responsible for the ongoing growth and success of the business.
The finance team consists of 5 people, so the CFO will ensure smooth management and efficiency within the finance department. This is a broad position that includes elements of business partnering with the CEO and working closely on the commercial and financial strategy of the organization.
Key Deliverables:
Support the overall financial performance of the company.
Manage the treasury of the company
Ensure the financial sustainability and profitability of the company
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the CEO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to contribute to the 5-year business plan.
Owning the financial strategy of the business and contributing to the commercial strategy.
Owning the P&L function and delivering insightful Management Information.
Effectively managing and developing a finance team of 5 people.
Ensuring there is a robust control environment.
Oversight over all financial governance.
Exploring new strategic initiatives.
Managing a smooth audit process.
Manage cash flow for the whole company.
Decide on any legal accounting and tax matters.
Ad-hoc projects to support the CEO
Key Requirements:
Must be a qualified and chartered accountant preferably (ACA, FCCA, ACMA)
10+ years of working experience, preferably in a high-volume financial operating environment
Work experience in any of the big 4 either locally or internationally is a plus
Relevant experience within the Fintech industry
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Commitment to continuously improve and optimize processes
Strong business partnering skills; the ability to provide strategic, analytical, and operational support – a well-rounded business person
Commercial flair and acumen – highly analytical and the ability to see the big picture whilst not losing sight of the detail
Must have ‘vision’ to lead and be inspirational to others
Must drive a performance culture. Sets targets, reviews, and measures.
A robust character. Prepared to make difficult and unpopular decisions when needed – including those involving people and standards. Has the personal resilience to challenge key matters and influence others
