Our client in the asset management sector is seeking a highly competent and results-driven Chief Investment Officer to become part of their dynamic team.

The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will be responsible for developing and executing the investment strategy of the asset management firm.

The ideal candidate will spearhead portfolio management, research, and trading functions to achieve superior investment performance across all asset classes. This role requires balancing long-term investment strategies with short-term performance goals while managing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:


Formulate and implement the company's overarching investment philosophy and strategy.
Establish asset allocation models and risk parameters aligned with client objectives and market conditions.
Provide guidance to the Board and Executive Management on market trends, investment opportunities, and potential risks.
Supervise the management and performance of all investment portfolios.
Monitor and adjust portfolios to meet targeted returns and risk metrics.
Maintain consistency in the investment approach across various asset classes.
Guide and mentor the investment and research teams, including portfolio managers, analysts, and traders.
Cultivate a high-performance culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Oversee trading activities and ensure alignment with portfolio strategy and market conditions.
Guarantee that trades are executed efficiently, ethically, and in compliance with relevant regulations.
Assist client relationship teams with performance reporting and investment communication.
Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed to explain strategies and results.
Ensure all investment activities adhere to internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and fiduciary standards.
Collaborate closely with compliance and risk management teams to monitor portfolio and market risks.


Candidate Profile


Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (mandatory).
MBA, CFA, or other advanced investment qualifications (highly preferred).
Relevant regulatory certifications/licensing (as applicable in your jurisdiction).
Minimum of 10–15 years' experience in asset or investment management.
Proven track record of leading investment teams and managing portfolios across multiple asset classes.
Experience in developing and executing investment strategies and asset allocation models.
Comprehensive understanding of financial markets, instruments, and portfolio risk management.
Ability to formulate and articulate long-term investment strategies.
Demonstrated capability to lead and inspire investment teams.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain intricate investment concepts clearly.
