Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify specific training needs within different functional areas of firm.
Negotiating with vendors and carriers to manage packaging, transportation, and other logistical aspects of shipments.
Verify the details of the pre-landed bill of lading every day.
Must work with the agent to count the landed bill of lading (sort and count according to the bill of lading to verify the actual landing quantity) after the goods arrive the airport.
If the goods land in batches, they must be verified via the POD with the agent, and the POD must be physically present.
Follow up the agent's loading time to ensure that the vehicle is shipped normally. All landed goods need to be loaded and delivered to our warehouse.
Ensure that the landed goods must not be left at the airport or the agent's warehouse.
Monitoring and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery and adherence to relevant guidelines.
Identifying and resolving discrepancies, damages, or other issues that may arise during the clearance process.
Providing administrative support to the customs function, such as preparing reports and maintaining files.
Skills and Qualifications
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Must be proficient in international documentation, LC, shipping processes and bill of lading.
Previous experience working with customs brokers, forwarders, and international partners.
Must have operational knowledge of the ports and government agencies.
Must have the ability to handle customs and shipping companies for imports, temporary importation, and exports.
Must have knowledge of proper clearing and haulage documentation for imports.
Must be proficient in excel
