The Foundation seeks a Communications and Partnerships Officer (CPO) to develop and drive the actualization of a strategic communications strategy and strengthen partnerships that advance its mission. Reporting to the Foundation Lead and Founder, the CPO will be responsible for cultivating strategic relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, media, and the wider community.
He/she will also be responsible for designing and executing effective communication plans, enhancing the visibility of the Foundation’s programs and impact via diverse platforms.
The CPO will support resource mobilization efforts by preparing compelling proposals, presentations, and success stories that highlight the Foundation’s work and attract new partnerships.
The ideal candidate would also be expected to bring creativity, strategic thinking, and a passion for storytelling to help amplify the voices of the communities the Foundation serves and deepen the Foundation’s impact.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Map and nurture partnerships that align with the Foundation’s strategic goals and enhance program reach and impact.
Strengthen existing partnerships by identifying opportunities for growth and deeper collaboration.
Research and recommend engagement opportunities with key players in women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, the arts, and education.
Identify and map potential local and international donors aligned with the Foundation’s mission.
Work with the programs team to identify, plan, and manage events and conferences where the Foundation’s work can be showcased.
Promote and project Adara’s programs to broader audiences through various media and communication channels.
Track, measure, and report the outcomes of collaborative projects and partnership initiatives.
Ensure consistent, high-quality representation of the Adara brand and a positive experience for partners and stakeholders.
Support negotiations and the development of partnership agreements, ensuring mutual value and clarity.
Maintain an up-to-date partner database, capturing relationship status and agreements.
Collaborate with the program team to align partnership activities with strategic initiatives and program delivery.
Continuously seek ways to enhance partner satisfaction and deepen stakeholder engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a social sciences field
Up to five years post NYSC work experience
Experience in corporate communications management
Experience working on social development projects
Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as being a strong team player
Ability to be flexible and thrive in a creative and evolving environment with competing deadlines and multiple tasks
Excellent work planning and organisational skills
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft applications and Google workspace.
