ABOUT THE JOB:
The consultant will conduct 3 days of training for the master trainers and training will be conducted in Maiduguri/Damaturu
This role is for consultant to train a pool of master trainers who will then be responsible for delivering vocational skills training on financial literacy and business management to project beneficiaries. The consultant will outline terms of reference (TOR) given, providing comprehensive training of master trainers on the methods and approach that would be used to cascade trainings to their respective trainees.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Consultant will be responsible for the following, including those not listed but are extensions of those expressly stated:
Facilitate training on safeguarding, Financial literacy and Business Management
Develop a comprehensive training curriculum and training materials tailored to the needs of the target beneficiaries
Assess the competency and readiness of the master trainers to cascade the training.
Ensure the training content covers key topics such as personal financial management, budgeting, saving, credit, entrepreneurship, basic business planning, etc.
Conduct a training-of-trainers program to equip the master trainers with the knowledge, skills and facilitation techniques.
Provide hands-on guidance and mentoring to the master trainers during the training sessions.
Pre and post-tests
Training materials (slides)
Training sessions with documented training reports.
Evaluation reports on the impact of the training.
Provide technical support and monitoring during the rollout of the vocational skills training by the master trainers.
Ensure quality control and fidelity to the training curriculum and methodology.
Collect feedback and evaluate the effectiveness of the training program.
Document lessons learned and best practices for future reference.
Inception report outlining the detailed work plan and methodology.
Developed training curriculum and materials on financial literacy and business management.
Training-of-trainers program conducted for the selected master trainers.
Monitoring and evaluation report on the master trainer-led vocational skills training sessions.
Final report documenting the process, key learnings and recommendations.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Excellent facilitation and training delivery skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
Strong understanding of the local context and familiarity with the target beneficiary group.
Proficiency in the local language(s) and excellent communication skills.
Qualification:
Advanced degree in business administration, economics, finance or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in designing and delivering vocational skills training programs, particularly in the areas of financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
Proven track record in developing training curricula and materials, and conducting training-of-trainers programs.
