Job Overview:
The Director of Business Development and Executive Education is a pivotal leadership role at The London Academy Business School in collaboration with the University of Sunderland in Nigeria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading the development, implementation, and growth of the Academy’s continuing education and professional Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses.
The Director will strategically drive income generation, partnerships, and program innovation to meet the needs of professionals and businesses in Nigeria and beyond. Should be able to develop meaningful relationships with governments in building and growing the teaming youth population in Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for continuing education and CPD courses.
Align executive education programs with market needs, industry trends, and organisational goals.
Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities to generate substantial income.
Program Development:
Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality executive education programs.
Collaborate with academic departments to ensure course content is relevant, innovative, and meets industry standards.
Integrate technology and modern learning methodologies into program offerings.
Revenue Generation:
Set and achieve ambitious income targets for continuing education and CPD courses.
Develop pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and sales plans to maximize revenue.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, and industry associations.
Partnership and Stakeholder Management:
Forge strategic partnerships with local and international organizations to expand program reach and impact.
Engage with alumni networks and professional bodies to enhance program visibility and credibility.
Represent the Academy at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Marketing and Outreach:
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract participants and promote the Academy’s offerings.
Utilize digital marketing, social media, and other channels to increase program enrollment.
Ensure consistent and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Team Leadership:
Lead and inspire a team of business development and executive education professionals.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field; a doctoral degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, executive education, or a related field.
Proven track record of generating substantial income from continuing education and professional development programs.
Strong strategic planning, project management, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including academic partners, corporate clients, and industry leaders.
Knowledge of the Nigerian education market and regulatory environment is highly desirable.
