Typical work activities
Tasks are likely to include, but not limited to:

Recognize safety hazards and follow safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
Perform audits, design and electrical drawings.
Read and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings; apply knowledge to daily tasks
Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect; and install, remove and maintain inverters or other site equipment such as solar panels, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA or similar monitoring equipment.
Complete written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, timecards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed.
Operate test equipment such as voltmeters, amp meters, high potential test equipment
Work with mechanical and civil aspects of energy solutions
Initiate, Innovate and recommend cutting edge ideas and technology for the company
Supervise and train apprentice electricians to teach proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.

Qualification:

Must possess at least a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, H.ND or equivalent qualification

Experience:

At least 1 - 3 years of industrial electric/electronic maintenance experience in therepair, inspection, testing, installation and/or maintenance of related electrical/electronic equipment Solar PV installation knowledge a plus

RENUMERATION:

Very attractive to include a commission on all sales made by the Electrical Engineer.
