Scope and Scale of the Assignment:
Participate in a training program to ensure enumerators understand the survey objectives, methodology, and tools for the baseline assessment. This training would cover ethical considerations, data collection techniques, and the use of digital devices or software required for the NISCOPS 2 baseline survey.
Conduct field visits to collect baseline data from selected households, farms, and stakeholders in Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Enugu and Kogi states. This includes administering questionnaires, conducting interviews, and recording observations accurately and consistently according to the survey guidelines.
Ensure proper handling and management of collected data, including digital entry and secure storage.
Implement quality control measures to verify the accuracy and completeness of data, including regular data reviews and spot checks where necessary.
Provide regular updates and feedback on survey progress to the project management team.
Prepare detailed reports on the data collection processes, challenges encountered, and preliminary findings during pre-testing and post-field activities.
Participate in debriefing sessions to discuss survey outcomes and provide insights for data analysis and interpretation.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be considered for recruitment as an Enumerator, all interested applicants MUST satisfy the following conditions:
A graduate of any tertiary institution with a good understanding of the use of GPS devices, smartphones, and social media.
Must be able to communicate well in English.
Possess and can operate a modern smartphone
Must be resident in any of the project implementation states - Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Enugu and Kogi states and must be able to communicate in the local languages of these states
Experience in data collection and use of smartphones to perform data collection.
Good understanding of the concepts of confidentiality, data protection, and privacy.
A clear understanding of community entry strategy and knowledge of cultures and norms of rural communities.
Ability to demonstrate teamwork and ensure task completion on time.
Good observation, note-taking, and report-writing skills.
Experience in working in the oil palm sector.
