Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Officer to join our dynamic team. The Loan Officer will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing, or recommending approval of loan applications for clients according to established lending guidelines and responsible for overall mortgage origination activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management

Interact with clients to understand their financial goals and objectives.
Provide information and guidance on available loan products, application process, and lending requirements.
Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the loan application and closing process.

Loan Application Processing:

   Review loan applications and accompanying documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
   Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
   Assess risks associated with loans and make decisions on approvals or rejections based on established criteria.

Documentation and Compliance:

   Prepare loan proposals for approval, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
   Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and lending policies.
   Work closely with underwriters to secure all necessary documentation and ensure timely processing of loans.

Sales and Business Development:

   Actively participate in business development activities to cultivate new client relationships and expand the loan portfolio.
   Promote the company’s loan products and services through networking and marketing efforts.

Reporting and Record Keeping:

   Maintain accurate records of loan applications, approvals, and disbursements.
   Prepare regular reports summarizing lending activity, portfolio performance, and sales goals achievement.

Qualifications:

HND/ND /Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a Loan Officer or similar role in a financial institution.
In-depth knowledge of lending practices, regulations, and financial markets.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and loan management software.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in Mortgage Loan Origination (MLO) or equivalent (preferred).
Familiarity with CRM software and loan origination systems.
Working Conditions:
This position typically operates in an office environment.
Travel may be required for client meetings or business development activities.
