Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute long-term strategies for network expansion, optimization, and modernization.
Lead the design and planning of network architecture including core, access, and transmission networks.
Forecast capacity needs and ensure scalable network infrastructure.
Oversee day-to-day network operations to ensure high uptime and performance across all services.
Establish and enforce SLAs and KPIs to maintain service quality and reliability.
Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement for fault resolution and prevention.
Lead the rollout of new infrastructure, network upgrades, and special projects.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of network projects.
Monitor project budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
Manage and mentor team of Fibre engineers, Network Engineers and network specialists.
Evaluate and manage relationships with network equipment vendors, ISPs, and third-party service providers.
Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with technical specifications and service delivery terms.
Ensure adherence to local telecommunications regulations and international best practices.
Prepare reports and documentation for audits and regulatory submissions.
Develop and manage the annual budget for network operations and planning.
Drive adoption of new technologies that improve operational efficiency and network performance.
Academic Qualifications and Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s Degree is an advantage).
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in network operations, planning, and team management.
Proven experience with telecommunications network design and service delivery (fiber, wireless, IP/MPLS, core network systems).
Strong knowledge of network monitoring, fault management, and performance tuning tools.
Solid understanding of telecom regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
