A reputable Group of companies with interests in Insurance Broking, Real Estate and Management Consulting, with a proven track record of excellence for over four decades seeks to hire a result-oriented professional as its Head of Finance & Administration.
The successful candidate will report to the Group Executive Director and manage the general financial operations and enhance accuracy of financial results.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic financial management and leadership support across the business, in line with the overall corporate objectives.
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements as per management requirement.
Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met.
Manage and coordinate the formulation of the financial plan and annual budgets. Monitors progress towards their achievements.
Ensure that the organization makes all required government remittances as and when required.
Liaise with external auditors; and ensure the annual and/or periodic audits are seamlessly carried out.
Implement and monitor internal controls.
Requirements
BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance or any other relevant discipline
Must have relevant professional certifications (ICAN or ACCA)
Minimum of 7 years\' accounting experience and at least 4 years in a managerial position
Rich knowledge of accounting principles with strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS
A good understanding of the accounts of an insurance broking firm will be an advantage but not compulsory
High degree of Integrity and Transparency is a MUST
Proficiency in the use of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is a MUST
Excellent analytical and reporting skills
