Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director - Support, you will work with the country management team to ensure the logistical performance of the Country Office and coordinate its implementation to provide the best support to the programmes, and ensure that organizational logistical policies and procedures are responsive to the context.
More precisely, your missions will be to :
Provide advisory role on logistics processes and approaches in close coordination with program and support teams
Analyze trends, advise, update and implement the Action Against Hunger Logistics and Procurement Plan
Contribute to the definition of the country office's strategy
Coordinate logistics at national level
Manage international Logistics requirements in collaboration with the HQ
Coordinate logistics input to the project cycle
Preventing and managing situations of fraud and corruption
Supervise and support the Logistics team in the capital and be the functional manager of the Logistics Manager on bases
Priorities for the first few months on the job will be to to ensure that the procurement for plan is in place of the upcoming projects, and ensure that framework agreements are in place to support recurring purchases.
Requested profile
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics with at least 2 to 5 years' experience, including missions in the field, in international NGOs or the humanitarian sector.
Action Against Hunger experience is highly desirable.
You have demonstrated capabilities in planning, organizing and executing logistics operations, with clear understanding of the humanitarian principles, code of conduct and specific sub-sector role linked to NGO field and operations contexts.
You have knowledge of various local, regional, country and international policies on logistics and procurement.
