Job Details

Transport Company’s products over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods.
Input instructions into automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes.
Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, tire chains, or spark plugs.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to the vehicles.
