As the Instrumentation Manager at the DSR Numan Operation, you will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of instrumentation systems, ensuring optimal performance for continuous operations. This role involves designing, developing, installing, and maintaining all instrumentation systems used in the operations, tailoring your approach to meet the specific needs of the facility and adhering to industry standards. You will be accountable for the Operation & Maintenance of the Instrumentation section and downtime related to Instrumentation.
Primary Duties:
Ensure trouble-free operation of all Instrumentation equipment by implementing Preventive/predictive maintenance of the Instruments in the Factory
Maintain & troubleshoot all types of equipment in the Factory under your section and achieve Power Generation targets by adopting and initiating necessary actions and corrective measures
Be accountable for maintaining and monitoring the record of miscarriages and taking corrective actions. Maintain history cards of the equipment in the assigned sections and track maintenance activities
Plan & execute jobs informed by the operation team in the assigned sections for smooth operation
Report any events of Instrument/DCS complications to the Factory Manager
Ensure standby equipment availability at all times and maintain critical spares for the equipment in respective areas
Be accountable for the adoption of SOP during operation & maintenance
Coordinate with Process dept along with Sugar Mill & Factory Shift Engineers for smooth operation
Carry out Servicing and maintenance of the Factory Electrical equipment during off-crop period
Prepare the annual expenditure budget for your sections and analyze the variance (Budget Vs Actual) & initiate necessary effective control systems
Identify training needs of your subordinates and create necessary schedules to provide training at regular intervals
Be accountable for maintaining and ensuring safety in all activities of operation and Maintenance
Qualifications
Minimum of B-Tech/BE/BSc in Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or any related Engineering field
COREN, NSE or any related professional qualification is an advantage
Minimum of 15 - 20 years experience in any Power Plant with DCS Automation. Experience in Sugar cane Factory will be beneficial
Proficiency in troubleshooting DCS / Instruments /Flow Measurement Equipment's
Basic computer skills (MS word, excel & power point)
Effective Communication skills
People management skills
Knowledge of labour laws
Basic financial skills
Negotiation skills
Presentation skills
