Insurance Manager, Technical

A prominent Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage firm, a key player in Nigeria's Insurance sector with a 40-year track record of excellence, is seeking a results-driven and experienced professional for the role of Insurance Manager, Technical.

The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated team player with a strong drive to enhance client service procedures and maximize operational efficiency across all aspects of the Underwriting and Claims Unit.

Duties


Develop and assess proposals/bids following industry best practices for clients across various sectors;
Perform general underwriting and create broking/technical documents for diverse insurance classes;
Create pre and post renewal insurance registers for clients;
Convey value proposition through proposals and presentations;
Manage key accounts;
Meet and exceed annual sales targets;
Process claims:
Reconcile underwriting accounts with various clients and underwriters;
Ensure timely settlement of claims for client benefit;
Generate monthly, quarterly and annual technical reports;
Handle other insurance technical matters and general tasks as assigned.


Qualifications


BA/BSc/HND degree;
Associate membership of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN) or Chartered Insurance Institute, UK;
Strong customer service aptitude;
Relevant hands-on experience in underwriting and claims processes;
Personal qualities: Proactive, enthusiastic and results-oriented;
Creative thinker with comprehensive commercial awareness and analytical approach to underwriting;
High level of integrity (ability to inspire trust and confidence in clients and colleagues);
Exceptional communication, presentation and reporting abilities;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
