Key Responsibilities

Investment Portfolio Management


Develop and manage the bank's investment portfolio, ensuring optimal returns while mitigating risks.
Conduct detailed market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities in various sectors, including SMEs, real estate, and agribusiness.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of investment portfolios, providing regular updates to stakeholders.


Client Relationship Management


Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, including individuals, businesses, and institutional investors.
Understand client needs and provide tailored investment advice and financial solutions.
Act as the primary point of contact for all investment-related inquiries.


Deal Structuring and Execution


Originate, structure, and execute investment deals, including equity, debt, and hybrid instruments.
Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams to ensure all deals meet regulatory and legal requirements.
Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.


Financial Analysis and Advisory


Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuation, and feasibility studies to support investment decisions.
Provide strategic financial advice to clients and stakeholders on investment opportunities.
Prepare and present investment proposals and reports to the bank's management and board.


Regulatory Compliance


Ensure all investment activities comply with the regulatory framework set by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other relevant authorities.
Stay updated on changes in regulatory policies and advise the bank on potential impacts on investment strategies.


Risk Management


Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with investment activities.
Implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard the bank's assets and client investments.


Business Development


Identify new business opportunities to expand the bank's investment banking services.
Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and deepen relationships with existing ones.


Qualifications and Experience


Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, or ICAN are an added advantage.
Minimum of [3 years] experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related role, preferably within the microfinance or financial services sector.
Strong knowledge of the Nigerian financial market, investment instruments, and regulatory environment.
