Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated IT Officer to join our team.
The IT Officer will be responsible for managing and supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient and secure operations, and providing technical assistance to all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including servers, workstations, printers, and networking equipment.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Network Management: Monitor and maintain network security, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data backup systems.
User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
System Updates: Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
Documentation: Develop and maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and user manuals.
Policy Implementation: Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Project Assistance: Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades and new technology deployments.
Training: Conduct training sessions for staff on IT-related topics and best practices.
Industry Awareness: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology to recommend improvements and innovations.
Requirements:
Qualification: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience as an IT Officer, IT Support Technician, or similar role.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems. Proficiency in operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Networking: Familiarity with network protocols, VPNs, and firewalls.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications: Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
