Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for the manufacturing division.
Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement within the manufacturing process.
Inventory Management: Manage inventory accounting processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and physical inventory counts.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of manufacturing budgets and forecasts, providing insights into variances and performance metrics.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including GAAP standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess accounting processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and finance, to support operational decision-making and drive business results.
Financial Analysis:Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and capital projects within the manufacturing division.
Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any audit findings related to manufacturing operations.
Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff within the manufacturing division, fostering their professional development and growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; membership of ICAN or ACCA is a must.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including inventory management, cost accounting, and production variance analysis.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Orion ) and advanced Excel skills.
