Description
We are looking for a creative and proficient in all aspects of food preparation, Head Chef.
You will be “The Head chief” and maintain complete control of the kitchen.
Responsibilities
Ensuring promptness, freshness, and quality of dishes.
Coordinating cooks' tasks.
Implementing hygiene policies and examining equipment for cleanliness.
Designing new recipes, planning menus, and selecting plate presentations.
Training kitchen staff, such as cooks, food preparation workers, and dishwashers.
Performing administrative tasks, taking stock of food and equipment supplies, and doing purchase orders.
Setting and monitoring performance standards for staff.
Obtaining feedback on food and service quality, and handling customer problems and complaints.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Requirements
BS Degree in Culinary Science or related certificate
Proven working experience as a Head Chef
Excellent record of kitchen management
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
Ability to meet deadlines.
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
