Role Summary

We are seeking to hire a motivated, ambitious individual that canprovide insightful credit analysis,perform research, ensure rating accuracy, and engage with the investor community.
Thisopportunity will provide flexibility, responsibility, and discretion in managing theportfolio of rated entities, with extensive access and exposure to senior management, issuers, and investors.

Responsibilities

Daily Loan Portfolio Review to track movements and develop action plans to accelerate performance and reduce delinquencies.
Perform Risk Assessment on every loan request involving internal and field checks/scrutiny based on KYC, and due diligence policies of the bank.
Analyze Credit Requests submitted by Relationship Managers through Credit Administration to establish the creditworthiness of the clients and forward findings to the Head, of ERM for onward presentation to the Management Credit Committee (MCC)/MD for ratification/Approval.
Generate and submit various reports to management and external stakeholders.
Weekly report of Credit Risk Management activities to the Head, of ERM latest 3 pm on Fridays and/or any last working day of the week.
Monthly Credit Bureau Report to CRC and First Central Credit Bureaus on or before the 5th of every month.
Weekly PAR, watchlist, and expected reports through the Head, ERM to the bank(mail) for notification and action by business heads and relationship managers.
Keep Custody of all credit files of the bank and perform periodic checks on specific files for due diligence and compliance.
Analyze and make recommendations through the Head, ERM on MoneyTrust Investment notes requests from our clients for onward submission to MCC/MD for approval.
Review delinquent loans and make recommendations for loan workouts as necessary.
Join in periodic mass action on delinquent and stubborn clients.
Performs all related work, as assigned.

Requirements

Must have a BSc. in Finance, Economics, or Accounting; CIMA/ACA/ACCA/CFA professional qualification would be highly beneficial/preferred.
Must have 3-5yrs Cognate Experience working as a Credit Analyst
b. Proven credit/risk assessment experience, including strong financial analysis experience, is likely to be gained from a financial institution, regulator, or public accounting firm.
Understanding Nigerian banks/insurers and their regulatory environment, with a strong focus on the key issues affecting the markets, the main players, and key industry drivers.
Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical skills.
Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to multi-task and able to meet tight deadlines.
Fluency in spoken and written English. Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing with some public speaking experience.
