Assist in recording and processing financial transactions related to manufacturing operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Support the tracking and analysis of manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, performing reconciliations, and conducting periodic physical inventory counts.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for the manufacturing division.
Aid in the preparation of manufacturing budgets and forecasts, providing data and analysis to support budgetary decisions.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls related to manufacturing accounting processes.
Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement within the manufacturing operations.
Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as assigned by the Senior Manufacturing Accountant or Finance Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; membership of ICAN or ACCA is a must.
2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Orion) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
