Responsibilities

  • Assist in recording and processing financial transactions related to manufacturing operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Support the tracking and analysis of manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, performing reconciliations, and conducting periodic physical inventory counts.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for the manufacturing division.
  • Aid in the preparation of manufacturing budgets and forecasts, providing data and analysis to support budgetary decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls related to manufacturing accounting processes.
  • Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement within the manufacturing operations.
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as assigned by the Senior Manufacturing Accountant or Finance Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; membership of ICAN or ACCA is a must.
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Orion) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization.
