What You’ll Do:


As a Lead Accountant, your key responsibilities will encompass:
Managing the entire accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
Ensuring strict adherence to accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
Preparing precise financial statements, reports, and management analyses.
Leading and mentoring a dedicated team of accountants.
Collaborating with various departments on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
Identifying areas for process improvement and overseeing the implementation of new accounting systems or software.


What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:


A Chartered Accountant qualification (ICAN member).
At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the oil & gas sector.
In-depth knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax regulations, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in process improvements and system implementations.
