Job Description
Conduct legal research and gather relevant case precedents to support litigation strategies.
Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
Manage and organize case files, ensuring all necessary documents are filed appropriately.
Coordinate with external parties, such as opposing counsel, clients, and court personnel.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of court rules, procedures, and filing requirements.
Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses.
Summarize deposition transcripts and other legal documents for attorney review.
Monitor case calendars and deadlines, proactively notifying attorneys of upcoming events.
Assist in the preparation of witness and exhibit lists for trial.
Collaborate with legal support staff and provide guidance as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field; paralegal certification is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation clerk or similar role.
Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented and capable of producing high-quality, error-free work.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a legal team.
Familiarity with local and federal court rules and procedures.
Demonstrated understanding of litigation processes and legal terminology.
