JOB SUMMARY


The incumbent will report to the Head, Sales and Marketing and is responsible for maintaining and developing lube sales channels, lead and direct product stocking at designated warehouse(s) and render technical support services to both internal and external customers. This is to facilitate lubricant sales, sustain and expand market share.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES


Identify and prospect new lubricant customers across all company sales channels as well as seek to create new sales channels.
Ensure retention of existing customers through monthly lubricant performance reviews for the regions
Monitor market trends, competitors' activities and consumer preferences with a view of deploying strategic marketing activities that will enhance the brand and improve and improve lubricant market share.
Identify new market/channel opportunities in your region and develop initiatives to extract value.
Provide accurate lube sales forecast and stock warehouses within the region of coverage to meet sales projection and maintain a healthy re-order level.
Monitor all Branch Managers within region of coverage on lubricant sales performance.
Support the Lubes Managers in planning/budgeting decisions.
Plan, direct and coordinate training of regional lube sales force (Branch Managers, Attendants, Dealers and Distributors) and relevant personnel for B2B customers.
Deploy technical sales tools (lubes surveys, oil analysis, technical advice etc.) for key customers within the region.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT & COMPETENCIES


A good university degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering 
3-5 years post-graduation experience with relevant experience in marketing
Product knowledge and territory management
Strategic marketing
Oil and gas industry knowledge
Customer relations management
Operations planning, scheduling and forecasting.
Negotiation skills
