Our client from the renewable energy sector is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will ensure equipment and systems operate smoothly and reliably by conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs.
They will develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and enhance
operational efficiency. They will collaborate with other professionals to improve efficiency and safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and ensure equipment longevity.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
Identify and fix electrical and other system issues, including replacing components and conducting on-site repairs.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures during maintenance activities.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts inventory.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with other departments, such as operations and procurement, to schedule repairs and address equipment issues.
Continuous Improvement:
Recognize and implement opportunities to enhance maintenance procedures and efficiency.
Supervision and Training:
In some roles, oversee and train maintenance technicians.
Qualifications/ Experience
Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar position.
Familiarity with Computer-Aided Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS): Knowledge of CMMS software for monitoring maintenance activities and managing parts inventory
Solid understanding of electrical and other relevant engineering principles with a focus on solar and battery systems.
Capability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
