Role Overview
As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing all installations, repairs and upkeep operations of our company’s facilities.
Your duties will include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, developing maintenance procedures, and managing the maintenance budget and resources.
Responsibilities
Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.
Maintain all machinery to ensure they work at designed operating performance standards.
Create and implement maintenance procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
Plan and manage all repair and installation activities.
Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.
Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
Coordinate activities of the maintenance team to ensure the effective upkeep of the facility, and poultry production and processing assets
Maintain parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders, invoice approvals, and manages the department budget.
Develop and manage protocol for maintenance emergencies
Supervise the timely repair or replacement of faulty machinery or equipment parts, ensuring minimum downtime in poultry production and processing operations
Provide training and continuous development to all maintenance personnel
Conduct performance evaluation of direct reports at least twice a year
Drive a maintenance strategy focused on preventive and predictive maintenance approach.
Coordinate work with external parties, providing project management, ensuring safety of personnel, and performing other duties as required
Develop associate and supervisor skills by conducting training meetings; one-on-one development schedules; outside technical skills training; establishing and monitoring performance reviews for supervisors
Must be able to work a flexible schedule
Job Requirements
HND or BSc. Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical engineering
A Master’s degree - added advantage
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance.
Previous managerial experience is a bonus.
Good understanding of plumbing, metal work, mechanical and electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of the workings of the facility’s machines and equipment.
