Main Responsibilities
Coordinate maintenance inspections. Provide a summary of maintenance recommendations to the appropriate supervisor
Ensure routine tank inspection and clean-up; routine pipeline maintenance to avoid corrosion; routine servicing, greasing of valves and flanges
Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to supervisor
Continuous interface with all maintenance and operations team
Gain an understanding in the physical operation of the depot including but not limited to the location of all tanks; capacities of all tanks and pumps; maintenance and repair of pumps and valves; product flow from tank to tank and from tanks to the loading gantry.
Responding in a timely manner to equipment failure, clogged strainers and leakage problems
Support the company in increasing profitability by managing resources efficiently and making recommendations.
Routine checks on company’s generator sets and fire pumps
Assist in lining up before product receipt and also monitor pipelines
Provide a 24 hour a day support services when the need arises.
Any other duties as may be assigned by your line manager.
Skills and Competencies
Should be conversant with depot operations such as installation of valves, covering of tank manholes, inspection of pump alignments and couplings.
Excellent communication, report writing and analytical skills.
Knowledge in servicing of gantry strainers and other gantry skids. Servicing of company power generators sets and fire fighting pumps and other domestic mechanical jobs.
Ability to apply a structured approach to identify issues and define solutions.
Creative and innovative Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong analytical and logical problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in MS Office (Words/Excel/Power point/Outlook/Projects)
Self-starter and a team player who is target and result-driven.
