Job Summary

We are currently seeking to employ a suitably qualified Records Officer, responsible for accurately collecting new patients’ information and uploading it to the EMR, as well as properly filing a hard copy of the information.
Maintaining quality and accurate records by following hospital procedures.

Responsibilities

The records officer is responsible for gathering patient demographic and personal information and inputtingthe same on the EMR.
Reviewingpatients' records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
Posting of patients’ files or folders to the appropriate department of care assessment
Manages the generation, preservation, and retrieval of medical records whenever they are needed
Ensures elaborate and accurate medical records are available at all times.
Compiles monthly medical statistical reports for statutory and reporting purposes.
Ensuring that all medical records are protected and kept confidential
He/she must ensure that every patient seeingthe doctor orreceivesany other treatments is billed appropriately and that the payment is made to the cashier.
Ensures that bills sent out are correct and correspond with the treatment given and received by the patient.
Ensures that every HMO patient whose platform is not covered for the required treatment is treated as either a private patient and/or gets an adequate code from the company before the commencement of treatment.
Any other duty as may be officially assigned.

Requirements

Candidates should possess OND / HND / B.Sc Degrees with 2 - 4 years relevant work experience.
