Key Duties
Develop engaging and informative lesson plans that cater to diverse learners. Implement a comprehensive curriculum aligned with state and national standards by delivering lessons to students. Utilize various instructional techniques and technology to support learning. Track and evaluate students' progress, providing regular updates to the school head. Maintain accurate and current records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance. Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages active student participation and nurtures a love for learning. Work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs. Engage in professional development opportunities to stay updated on educational best practices and trends. Be responsible for teaching and supporting students in a classroom setting, which may require standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. Work closely with colleagues and school leadership, potentially attending meetings outside regular school hours.
Qualifications
NCE qualification. Experience teaching in a primary or secondary school environment. Strong understanding of primary or secondary school curriculum and instructional best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership. Demonstrated commitment to student learning and success. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Must reside within the Ejigbo, Isolo, and Oshodi areas of Lagos State.
