Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Project Engineering Intern to join our team in Abuja.
This role is ideal for NYSC corps members with a strong interest in solar energy and renewable energy technologies.
The intern will assist in the design and development of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, and mounting structures.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development:

Assist in the design and development of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, and mounting structures.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the best design solutions.
Prepare technical drawings and specifications using engineering software and tools.

Technical Support:

Provide technical support to project teams during the installation and commissioning of solar energy systems.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to solar energy systems.
Prepare technical reports and documentation.

Project Coordination:

Assist in the planning and coordination of solar energy projects.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery of projects.
Monitor project progress and provide updates to stakeholders.

Problem Solving and Analysis:

Analyze system performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement solutions to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
Address technical challenges and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Travel:

Willingness to travel to various project sites and client locations as needed.

Requirements

Education:

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
HND holders are encouraged to apply.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong interest in solar energy and renewable energy technologies.
Basic understanding of electrical systems, power generation, and energy storage.
Proficiency in using engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
