Job Description:
Our client is seeking for a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist to join their team in VI, Lagos. As a pharmacist, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing drug information to patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate medication records. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in promoting health and wellness within the community.
Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently by prescriptions issued by authorized healthcare providers.
Provide counseling to patients regarding the appropriate use and possible side effects of medications.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication therapy management.
Monitor drug therapy regimens for potential drug interactions, contraindications, and adverse reactions.
Maintain proper inventory levels of medications and pharmaceutical supplies, and oversee the storage and handling of medications to ensure their integrity and safety.
Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy, including maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay informed about new developments in pharmacology and healthcare practices.
Assist in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.
Provide guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and other staff members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards.
Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote health education and awareness, including conducting health screenings and wellness programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Proven experience working as a pharmacist in a healthcare setting, preferably in a retail or hospital pharmacy.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, their uses, dosages, and interactions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications and maintaining records.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and software for prescription processing and inventory management.
