Description:

The Operations and Maintenance Engineer for CEESOLAR is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, operating, and optimizing solar system installation at Ceesolar Mini Grid sites.
The O&M engineer ensure that the systems operate efficiently, reliably, and safely to meet the community's (customer) energy needs.
The engineer will work closely with the operations team members and other stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and uptime of the systems.

Requirement:

Degree in Engineering, Physics, or related discipline. HND holders are encouraged to apply.
Strong understanding of solar PV systems, energy storage systems, and related technologies.
Experience in Solar Mini Grid/ Solar System operations and Maintenance
Experience with remote monitoring systems and data analysis tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel to remote locations as required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Monitor the performance of solar mini grid systems using remote monitoring tools and on-site inspections.
Utilize Cloud based information technology tools to monitor multiple sites real time and detect any abnormality.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure systems are operating at optimal efficiency.
Implement preventive maintenance schedules and perform corrective maintenance as required.
Provide immediate technical support to customers and field technicians in the event of an emergency unplanned outage.
Resolve complex technical issues at site within 48hrs.
Document and Analyze system performance data to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations, maintenance activities, and performance metrics.
Ensure all operations and maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct safety training for field technicians (where available) and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Communicate effectively with community stakeholders, providing updates on system performance and addressing any concerns.
Prepare and present reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and operational challenges to management.
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure the availability of critical components.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
Support project team in project delivery
