JOB PURPOSE
The job holder is responsible for all the scheduling, planning and progress measurement activities for the UBETA project, and for the reporting at project level all along the life of the project.
As such, the job holder is responsible for:
Supervising, controlling, and coordinating the activities related to Work Packages schedule and plan with associated progress measurement; this includes the development of an integrated project schedule, supervision of scheduling and progress measurement activities during the Execution phase.
Developing and maintaining schedules at project level, with analysis of critical path and potential clashes and proposal of remedial actions/solutions.
Ensuring availability at all times of an updated and accurate scheduling and progress measurement documentation.
Ensuring reporting at Project level (issue of Weekly reports, Monthly Status Report).
The job holder will be supported during the Execution Phase by a quantity surveyor who will be dedicated to progress measurement activities.
The job holder shall liaise actively with all the Project Package Managers (mainly) for all scheduling and progress measurement related activities.
The job holder shall observe and shall impose strict confidentiality during the tendering phase and as a general manner all along the course of the Project.
The job holder reports to the Project Control Manager.
The job holder is also accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
UBETA field: Discovered in 1964 (4 wells drilled)
Located at 8km south of OBAGI
2P GIIP & Reserves: 1.2 Tcf & 870 bcf (HP + MP + LP phases)
Low CGR (16bbl/mmscf on reserves)
UBETA gas supply: Feed gas to NLNG and domestic market
Compensate decline of existing fields & bridge supply gaps from AKPO, EGINA, AMENAM, OFON, etc
Maximum design capacity of 10Mm3/d
UBETA Cluster: Production Center with no process on site
Effluents (Gas, cond., water) sent to OBITE TC via 18” x 11 km pipeline
Project cost and planning de-rails: OUR, NOPL
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a general manner, to provide assistance to the Project Management for all matters related to scheduling and progress reporting and general reporting, and to manage all activities related to scheduling and reporting.
To develop, implement and maintain procedures, means and tools to ensure the efficient organization and operation of the scheduling, progress control and reporting activities
To define (and update as necessary) a suitable Work Breakdown Structure complying with Project needs in terms of progress control, cost control and reporting, for all phases of the Project
To develop, update and revise the overall integrated Project Schedules as required by Project Management, and to provide analyses and simulations of new schedules also as required
To assist Packages to review and comment contractors’ procedures linked to schedules and progress control methodology.
To monitor contractors’ execution schedule, to check and approve contractors’ progress measurement and progress reports.
To define coordinate and supervise the development of detailed and accurate Project Monthly Report / Project Weekly Report (and any other report as requested) during all phases of Project
To identify and monitor Project risks associated with potential cost and schedule impacts.
To timely report to the Project Control Manager, highlighting progress and encountered areas of concern.
