Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead our procurement team and oversee all purchasing activities within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effectively managing procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and building strong supplier relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sourcing: Identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Purchase Orders: Oversee the creation and management of purchase orders for both local and foreign supplies, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of goods and services.
Cost Management: Analyze costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize procurement spending.
Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, monitor their performance, and address any issues or concerns.
Inventory Management: Collaborate with relevant departments to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Compliance: Ensure procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Reporting: Generate reports and analyze data to evaluate procurement performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor/Master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7- years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a demonstrated ability to lead procurement teams and deliver results.
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria or Certification in Supply chain management are added advantage.
Age: 30-45years.
