Job Description

Our client is seeking to hire a seasoned and experienced Procurement Officer.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess a strong work ethic, and demonstrate the ability to take initiative.
This role requires a forward-thinking individual capable of efficiently managing procurement processes to ensure the seamless supply of goods and services.

Responsibilities

Source and procure high-quality ingredients and supplies necessary for the production of the finger foods.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliability and quality.
Monitor inventory levels and forecast requirements to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Implement inventory management systems to track and manage stock levels efficiently.
Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Implement strategies to enhance procurement costs while maintaining product quality.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Conduct quality checks on received goods to ensure they meet the company’s standards.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
Prepare and present regular reports on procurement status, cost analysis, and supplier performance.
Work closely with the production and finance teams to align procurement strategies with business goals

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or a similar role.
Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
Experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in pastry is an added advantage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of inventory management and procurement best practices.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
