Overview
The Program Manager will oversee the implementation and management of all activities aimed at reducing child marriage and supporting the empowerment of adolescent girls in North west Nigeria. She will be instrumental in engaging various stakeholders, including local communities to build a supportive framework for the empowerment of adolescent girls. This position requires a dynamic person capable of driving initiatives that intersect gender equality, education, and child protection.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with case workers and child protection groups to establish reporting and response systems for abuse against adolescent girls.
Manage the transition from planning to action, supervise the formation and training of community groups for SGBV case handling, and oversee community outreach and education efforts.
Lead the development and implementation of livelihood enhancement programs for adolescent girls, including skills training and economic empowerment initiatives.
Conduct regular assessments to monitor program effectiveness, adapt strategies based on feedback, and ensure continuous improvement.
Generate reports on program outcomes, document case studies, and compile final analyses to illustrate successes and areas for future enhancement.
Maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders to ensure sustained support and project success.

Qualifications

MSc. in Public Health, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or a related field.
At least 7 years of experience in program management, specifically in gender empowerment or child protection programs.
Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong understanding of the socio-economic and cultural context of Northwest Nigeria.
Excellent communication, leadership, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.
Fluency in local languages and English is highly desirable.
