Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic health conditions.
Conduct health screenings and assessments, and maintain accurate health records for all students.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to support students with specific health needs.
Develop and implement health care plans for students with special needs.
Educate students and staff on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
Monitor and respond to health emergencies, ensuring swift and appropriate care.
Promote a healthy school environment by identifying and addressing potential health hazards.
Serve as a resource for students, staff, and parents on health-related issues.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Lagos State
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
Prior experience in pediatric, public health, or school nursing (preferred).
Strong clinical skills, with the ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and understanding.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to school health services.
