Job Summary
As a Senior Business Development Manager for Solar Home Systems, your role will be crucial in driving the company's success in the renewable energy market by expanding its reach, building partnerships, and maximizing sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and implementing strategic business development plans to expand the business and to achieve company goals in the solar home systems.
Identifying new business opportunities in the solar energy sector and developing partnerships with key stakeholders and potential clients within the industry.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, energy regulators, and local communities.
Leading market research efforts to understand the competitive landscape and market trends in the solar home systems sector.
Leading the sales team to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
Creating and presenting business proposals, pitches, and presentations to potential clients and partners
Conducting market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
Managing client relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, Engineering, and finance to ensure seamless execution of projects from sales to installation and after-sales service.
Monitoring and analyzing sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to continuously improve business strategies.
Staying updated on solar energy policies, regulations, and incentives to leverage opportunities for business growth.
Providing leadership and guidance to junior business development staff.
Developing pricing strategies and negotiating contracts with clients.
Requirements - Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Applicants must possess the following skills and abilities, which are important for achieving success on the job:
Qualifications required are a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing -Related discipline, or B.Eng. in Marketing, or its equivalent.
Minimum of 5years post qualification experience in the Marketing and Sales field.
Must possess effective communication, and writing skills to share business information when needed.
Previous knowledge of Business Development is very crucial to this role.
Strong analytical and effective problem-solving skills.
Be an effective team player with ability to work under own initiative
Strong computer skills especially MS Office Suites
Ability to work under minimal supervision and be self-motivated
Ability to multi-task: He/she must be able to complete several tasks together and meet up with deadlines
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
