Role Description

As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for coordinating engagement teamwork while performing all duties assigned as part of your regular work.
You are to ensure that the day-to-day tasks are being carried out properly as per client requirements or needs.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the computation and supervision of payroll management and employee regulatory processes in different industries, including manufacturing (FMCG), oil and gas, and financial services.
Render professional advice and develop appropriate tax plans/strategies/policies best suited to clients’ businesses and conforms to state and federal tax statutes.
Be required to proactively interact with key clients’ management to gather information, resolve tax, regulatory and human resources compliance-related problems, and make recommendations were necessary for compliance improvements.
Responsible for the computation, compilation, remittance and filing of taxes (Transaction and PAYE) and statutory deductible obligations (ITF, NSITF and NHF) on behalf of clients.
Routinely conduct pre-tax audits prior to statutory audit exercises and advise clients accordingly.
Respond to and liaise with statutory tax authorities on tax-related issues, queries, and litigations.
Provide strategic analysis for payroll-related initiatives and projects including user requirements for the development of an enterprise payroll management platform.
Participate actively in risk assessment procedures on regulatory matters as they affect businesses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or any related field (Minimum of 2nd class).
A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Personal Income, Tax Compliance and Advisory Matters.
Professionally certified in CITN/ACCA/ICAN.
Excellent organizational and people skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
High attention for details and accuracies.
Ability to follow-through and work independently as well as within a team structure.
An energetic and proactive attitude.
Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Possess excellent written and oral skills.
